Where In The World

I go down to the corner for coffee and I hear the talk
‘Bout a war in a far away country, so I take a walk
Out on the street there’s a newspaper stand
Crawling with stories that trouble a man
Just when the world’s looking painfully blue
I see a light shining through

Looking into the hundreds of faces as they quickly pass
They’re all running their separate races and they move so fast
Is there a place where they quietly go
Telling their secrets to someone they know
Do they have even a hope or a prayer
Of finding a love they can share

I wonder, where in the world
Did I find someone like you
Did you come in from the rain
Did you step out of the blue
Are you a wish in a well
From a coin someone threw
I wonder where in the world did I find you

When I sit and consider the chances, it’s so plain to see
It took more than the right circumstances to bring you to me
Something was guiding us body and soul
Something was moving beyond our control
In this creation of wondrous size
What made me look in your eyes

I wonder, where in the world
Did I find someone like you
Did you come in from the rain
Did you step out of the blue
Are you a wish in a well
From a coin someone threw
I wonder where in the world did I find you
I wonder where in the world did I find you
